An ode to time and extended aging, Réserve du Centenaire is a blend of the House’s finest eaux-de-vie. It stands out for its depth and complexity.
The fruit aromas are enveloped in woody notes, enriched by the warmth of candied fruit and nuances of spices and dried fruits.

• Composition: Eau-de-vie from different varieties of plums (in secret proportions)

• Aging: Small French oak casks with fine-to-medium grain

• Tasting notes: Enjoy in good company, at room temperature or in a pre-chilled glass. Pour only 4cl into a digestif glass. Bring your nose to the upper edge of the glass, then savor slowly alongside your favorite dessert.

History

Maison Louis Roque is based in Souillac and bears the name of its eponymous founder. Heir to a unique craft, it produces an emblematic French eau-de-vie: La Vieille Prune de Souillac. Created to celebrate the House's 100th anniversary, Reserve Centenaire was born from blending the finest aged eaux-de-vie.

When you pour a glass of La Vieille Prune de Souillac, the first thing that strikes you is its color: a beautiful blend of amber and aged gold, with soft orange notes, as if the years had settled into the glass. Bright, deep reflections already hint at its clarity and freshness. Before even bringing it to your lip, you already know your're about to savor something singular, timeless.

At the upper edge of the glass: The first nose reveals notes of vanilla and, more broadly, pastries. The second nose evokes cooked plum, then white flower honey, leading to candied lemon.

TASTING

With fruity yet pastry-like flavors, the first palate is creamy and indulgent. It evokes a caramelized plum tart with a thick vanilla and praline cream. The finish is intense and peppery. Savor slowly with a Breton shortbread and/or a clementine.
