Poster "Bien Faire, Laisser Dire"

Creative freedom, the pursuit of quality.
In this refined poster, Jean-Michel Tixier illustrates the historic motto of Maison Louis Roque: Bien Faire, Laisser Dire. It depicts a man focused at a blending table, leaning over a tulip glass and carafes of eaux-de-vie, perhaps Louis Roque himself, or a master blender.
The artist captures with quiet restraint the exigency of the gesture, the precision of artisan work, and that inner calm particular to those who pass on a savoir-faire rather than a speech.

INSPIRATION
The motto "Bien Faire, Laisser Dire" has accompanied Maison Louis Roque since 1905: it expresses a philosophy of rigour, patience and creative freedom. In this graphic interpretation, the master blender works in the warm light of a cellar, surrounded by barrels and samples. His focused expression conveys a respect for time and for matter, far removed from the noise of the world.
The poster evokes the quiet refinement of a craft practised out of the spotlight: that of the artisan of taste. Tixier blends realism and stylisation here, in a golden-yellow atmosphere that recalls the iconic colour of La Vieille Prune.
